Moyo Ogunlewe led Education Committee Presents Report to Lawmaker

A 5-man Committee headed by Barr. Moyo Ogunlewe has presented a qualitative structure on the development of education tagged “EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT OF PUBLIC SCHOOLS” in Kosofe Local Government (Constituency I) at Lagos State House of Assembly on Thursday, 24th September 2020.

The Committee delivered this to the Lagos State House of Assembly Member, Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Babatunde Okanlawon representing Kosofe Constituency (l) with a comprehensive and well-structured analysis.

Sometime in May (just 4 Months from inauguration), the constituted Committee as instituted is to create aiding structure to fashion out ways and means of complimenting government’s effort at delivering qualitative education in Kosofe Constituency (1). So also to carry out the academic needs assessment of every of the Public Primary and Secondary Schools in Kosofe Constituency (1).

Chairman of the Committee, Barr. Moyo Ogunlewe who was ably represented by the secretary, Hon. Funsho Oduntan(Toronto) led a remarkable project. Also present at the State House included; Hon Sanni Ganiyu (okla) and other members of the Committee.

As acknowledged by Members of the Education Committee, indeed “It is a vision beyond expectation” born out of importance:
“To say this research is by Members of the Committee alone, this overstates the case without the contributions of some significant people. We pictured all the hardworking contributors to create a brief assessment that addresses few issues concerning educational system in Kosofe Constituency 1. On top of the list are the members of the Committee team.

“We want to thank the Chairman and the Board Members of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).”

“We also want to give special thanks to Sen. Adeseye Ogunlewe for his immense contribution towards the success of this Research papers”

The underlining factors on Qualitative Education as proposed by the Committee focus are projected;

  • To deliver Qualitative Education, the following are very important but not limited for consideration,
  • To carry out the Academic needs Assessment of every of the Public Primary/ Secondary Schools in Kosofe Constituency 1,
  • To recommend Panacea to challenges found inhibiting educational growth,
  •  To promote school effectiveness and learning outcomes
  • Optimum/full use of online platform for teaching and Scholarship Criteria.

Committee Secretary, Funsho Oduntan enumerated the scopes and synopsis of the projects, according to her;
“We are a 5-man Committee definitely set to look into the Quality Education in Kosofe Local Government (Constituency I).”

“We have definitely put things together to address those evolving issues and with the view that when this is properly implemented it will add value to educational system of Kosofe Local Government.”

Recalling when the Committee was inaugurated just few months ago, Hon. Okla commended all Committee Members for a project well presented therefore calling for partnership “Once again, I thank you so much for the effort you have put into this exercise, four months back, I inaugurated this Committee led by Barr. Moyo Ogunlewe.

Apparently we presently look into how we can better a lot of institutions in Kosofe Constantly (1). Government alone cannot deliver Qualitative Education as it were. Especially this period that the government is facing a lot of hardship with Covid-19 pandemic. It is a pandemic that has ravaged every part of the Universe, and Nigeria is not an exception”

Hon. Okla who talked on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) called for partnership from corporate and enterprising business bodies in the society;

“So we will need partnership, we would want more ideas which requires thinking outside the box to deliver qualitative education. So in your presentation, I like the idea of scholarships to the indigent students.

Hon. OKLA Commends the Committee Members also, and calls For partnership From corporate Bodies.
