After extending Solidarity greetings to all loyal members and leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Lagos State. He said” I am compelled to write on the height of premeditated illegality and anti-party gross misconducts perpetrated on 18th December, 2020 by some identified party members in Lagos State.
“Most regrettably, this groups of people threw caution into the wind to embarrass all loyal and right thinking members of our great party in the PDP Lagos State on 18th December, 2020.
“Without proper decorum and due process, a valid position of the State Chairman who was duly elected cannot be removed by a ridiculous phantom “bear parlour cum motor park like” coup d’etat, except by a duly conducted extraordinary mini convention witnessed by INEC, authorized and well administered by the NEC’s resolution.
“This unbearable shenanigans must stop as a matter of necessity, while all those involved should be brought to book, in order to serve as a deterrent for future occurrence of similar crudity, indiscipline and illegality.
“To this end, Engr. Deji Doherty is still the substantive and validly elected Chairman of the PDP Lagos State.”
“Consequently, all members should disregard the illicit trending video and announcement of Alh. Welly Hassan as Ag. Chairman accordingly.
He added” As stakeholders, we cannot fold our hands and allow detractors moles and agent provocateurs to lead us to abyss, pariah and lawlessness situation.
“Having earlier appealed on their behalf for pardon and reversal of suspension of the State Secretary and others, yet no remorseful reciprocity from the same persons till date to deserve vacation of their suspensions, Hassan said.
“Lastly, let it be on record that if anyone illegally impersonate the office of the PDP State Chairman under the guise of illegally implanting themselves into office, such person or cohorts should be brought to book judiciously and prosecuted accordingly, he charged the party.
“Discipline and rule of law is beacon of hope and greatness of our party.
“Let’s remain focused on greater winning opportunities that lies ahead viz: Local Government Elections and most importantly 2023 general elections.
“Engr. Deji Doherty has performed tremendously well, with succinct records of untainted landmarks, hence he deserves our supports and prayers to continue to steer the ship of Lagos PDP to an expected promise land”.
He urged the Chairman to organize an emergency Reconciliation Stakeholders Summit soon, so as to resolve the age Long horse trading and attrition in the Lagos PDP.
