Member, House of Representatives, Kosofe Federal Constituency area of Lagos, Hon Prince Rotimi Agunsoye has refuted the allegations making rounds the town that he dragged the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada before the Economic and Financial Crimes and Independent Corrupt Practices Commision.

Rotimi noted he did not anytime dragged Bada’s to EFCC, ICPC, Special Fraud Unit. He only reported threat to life allegedly sponsored by the Chairperson.

“I sincerely thank you for getting my side of the story. I did not at anytime drag her to EFCC, ICPC or Special Fraud Unit. Why do i have to do that? is it to tarnish her image or that of my party? I was not involved in that at all,” the lawmaker replied.

Further speaking to our correspondent said,” I only took her to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police and inspector General of Police for a case of threat to life. Because she was the one moving around with convoy of thugs. Why do i have to that; because when we went for a meeting at Acme, My people that went with me were attacked outside while the meeting was in progress.”

“She excused herself from the meeting and later came in to raise false alarm that her supporters were being attacked. I then urged the state Chairman that we should go out and observe the situation because i did not go to the meeting with any thugs. On getting outside, it was my people that were being attacked”

“Baba Ijesha, Garba, Olawale Michael and several others were attacked.”

He added that gunshots at the meeting venue coupled with direct threat to his life prompted his action to report the incident to Police authority.

When the Head of Public Affairs Unit of Ikosi Isheri Lcda, Rabiu Abiodun Hassan was contacted over the matter he said he was not aware of the matter.

“I am not aware of what you are saying, I am just hearing it from you for the first time.”

In a separate Chat with the Chief Press Secretary to the Council Chairperson, Ayo Idowu when contacted over the thugs and threat to life allegations he said all matter has been resolved over allegation of threat to life .

The political development in Ikosi isheri that led to Samiat being invited to Abuja last week even while the Late Engr. AbdulFatai Ayodele Oyesanya; The former Council Chairman and Distinguished Senator Adebayo Osinowo were alive, power tussle among the defunct Mandate Group members has never denerated to “do or die” level, fueling the suspicious that some leaders might be behind the incessant attacks between the council chairperson, Samiat Bada and the highest political ranking lawmaker in kosofe, Rotimi Agunsoye.
