As the ruling party that promised change, good governance, rule of law, social and political order different from the ousted peoples democratic party era, many citizens are keenly interested seeing them walking their handsome talks.
But, failing to organise exemplary first of its kind national convention as at when due, had left many Nigerians and opposition parties with the frequently asked questions to why they refused to hold the ward, state, zonal congress and most importantly, the national convention as stipulated in her party constitution.
This questions was further amplified following the successful PDP national convention held last weekend despite its closed to 2year’s protracted internal crisis before the supreme court rescued the party from total extinction.
The FAQs as to why APC are yet to conduct its national convention by the constituents of kosofe federal constituency prompted the #kosofepost to sample public views from the electoral district.
Last weekend the pdp held its national convention. Whats your take on the yet to be organised apc national convention?
Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe:
Until they organize theirs before we can comment.
APC has learnt something new with the just concluded PDP convention. They may allow for a free and fair convention, although many of the executives will be affected that may further deepen the crisis silently rocking the Party
No comments because I am not part of the APC decision maker.
From my own political point of view, I think the ruling party is waiting for the out come of our elective National Convention while buying time to settle the internal issues within their party.
The issues been deepen by the decision of former VP action leaving the party.
And all the fractional groups in the party will be permutating how to control the party leadership in the bid for presidency ticket.
Specially with the way the president cabal treated the leadership of the groups that helped him to secure the party primary ticket in 2014, Once beaten twice shy.
My wishes and prayers is that we should have a strong ruling and opposition party to perform their scope of work according to its political standing in the nation.
Sadly, Both the ruling and the opposition party’s were sick almost at the same time. The president long medical vacation and the PDP internal crisis sickness retarded political developments.
Glory be to God that the PMB is strong and better to deliver his promises on or before the expiration of May 2019 because any further excuses from him will be seen as monuments of laziness and incompetent.
The pdp that was bedridden now totally recovered from their serious self inflicted injuries while Apc are still attempting to prevents the symptoms to avoid pdp experience.
Personally ,I look forward to seeing their national carnival convention like every other Nigerians to observe their SWOT after several senior party member and thousands of members had deserted the party.
Otunba Badru Adeoye:
Its better late than never rather than to be rushed and caused internal implosion. Our members are not complaining, Nigerians are not complaining. So, what is the business of the PDP in our political family affairs with their so called fraudulent, rigged and imposition sham national convention? Our mandate are to Nigerians not to the treasury looters awaiting prosecution and life imprisonments.
Like their PDP counterparts many of the APC chieftains on our timeline contacted are yet to respond such as: agboyi ketu lcda chairman Hon. Dele mayor, ikosi isheri lcda chairman Eng. Abdul fatai oyesanya, Ifako gbagada(Ward C) councilor Ibrahim Olawale, Fmr special adviser on budget to Kosofe LG Hon. Babatunde sofola, Alhaji Ibrahim Mustapha and host of others.
