Not too long ago to ease the movements of vehicles and human being in the ever busy road linking Ifako, Soluyi, Medina and Atunrase estates to oworonshoki, Third Mainland bridge, Bariga and Lagos Ibadan expressway the traffic light was installed by the government(?).
According to an article written by #Timesfreepress wrote that ”
“At many of our busiest street and highway intersections, there are traffic lights – green for go, yellow for caution as the lights change, red for stop. Everyone knows that.
“What is the purpose of traffic lights?
“Primarily, the purpose is simply to facilitate the safe movement of cars, avoiding collisions. In some cases, however, it seems the purpose is to “catch” some not cautious motorists and sock them with traffic tickets and fines to raise money for government.
“The latter goal is obvious when the private companies that install the lights at local government invitation are paid by receiving a share of the fines.
“It is foolish, but too common, that some people try to rush through changing lights, causing danger. Rarely are we on such urgent missions that any such risk is justified.
“The goal of all of us should be personal safety, avoidance of personal danger and property damage, with the orderly movement of traffic – not revenue-raising entrapment.
“Common sense cooperation is the best way to accomplish the best purposes and avoid the other, TFP concluded.”
Therefore, kosofepost will like to seek the public views on the New garage Round about traffic light?
It is a very welcome development if adequate maintenance measures are considered. Adaptation to traffic rules will properly position possible challenges that may be witnessed now and even after.

Well,by information, the traffic filter was sponsored by faith based organization as a form of CSR,its a welcomed idea,I don’t see any different type from another, just that people find it difficult to adapt to change.
Motorist on the axis used to conventional type of traffic flow,so it now looked as strange thing. My advise is that there can be adjustment as to time flow.
Its laudable project that must be maintained and sustained. The “Stop and Go” timing need to be readjusted. Law enforcement should be on the ground to arrest and sanction traffic rules violators. As a regular user of that axis it makes it easier for me, coming from the island sensing traffic ahead to navigate through Gbagada, Pedro, Obanikoro to ikorodu road to avoid Gbagada to Anthony expressway traffic gridlock.
I think it s a wrong project for a wrong axis. Because the commercial bus, and okada operators don’t obey the traffic rules and the law enforcement agency around there appeared helpless. So , who does the traffic light help?
Is it a kosofe local government project or an organization? But, whosoever that did it kudos to such organisation behind it. I believed over time obeying traffic rules will be motorists culture and way of life in our area.
The traffic light is a good thing to happen at oremeji round about, kudos to RCCG MARATHA PARIS for the CSR. other religious body and philanthropist should emulate them.

No it’s not helpful. Before the traffic light we normally get to Bariga in 10-15munites but now 45munites we are still stuck in the traffic.

I think the timing needs some adjustment to meet the traffic flow of each junction. Many thanks to the government for their efforts.
