Kosofe Post: Thank you for making it a day with kosofe post, when you ought to have being resting from hours of today work by 9:00 Pm.
Prince Muyideen Y.0: you highly welcome.
Kosofe Post: Is it true that in the time past, lagos state government attempted to develop agboyi 1 & 2 and 3 by constructing overhead bridge and it was rejected by the stakeholders in agboyi generally?
Prince Muyideen Y.0: Thank you for this fundamental question. NO! it was just rumours. How could any progressives person reject such development project? any time people asked such question i do asked which govt and what year? it was just assumption.
Kosofe Post: As active member of all progressives congress what attempts have you and other stakeholders made to bring rapid developments to agboyi land interms of infrastructure?
Prince Muyideen Y.0: The leadership of the community have sent series of letters. under that regards including myself as President of Agboyi Students Union i have sent atleast three Letters to the State Govt on the bridge issue. Despite Govt, we also approached Non Governmental Organisations. Since i was elected as the president of Agboyi Students Union(ASU) myself and my executive members have took drastical steps to bring development to Agboyi Land, Aside of been a member of Apc,i am also an activist, i have approached Government on request for Infrastructural projects in Agboyi Land. Example; Renovation of Agboyi primary school, Construction of modern Town Hall, Portable water, Construction of Motorable bridge e.t.c under this note my sincerely appreciation to the state government under the then Governor Mr Babatunde Fashola for our renovated school
Kosofe Post: What’s the govt response to your series of letters?
Prince Muyideen Y.0: The response was encouraging, we also engaged in deliberations and meetings. we, mostly all the representatives of Agboyi in the Federal, State and Local govt. We met with Senator Olugbenga Ashafa, Hon. Adeyeye, Hon. Durosinmi and the councillors Forum of Agboyi Ketu LCDA. Senator gbenga Ashafa and Hon. Adeyeye also supported and sponsored our 2014 Empowerment program which we provides #10000 Local bursary for 30 Students in the Higher Institutions while Hon. Adeyeye also sponspored Free GCE for 20 students in Agboyi.
Kosofe Post: What’s in the new “wish list of agboyi 1, 2 and 3 communities to LASG and the NGOS?
Prince Muyideen Y.0: We implored the new government to come to our aids and provides us with motorable bridge in Agboyi Land. We are still in deliberations with Rotary club of Ogudu with NGO on projects as well. Before i forgot, it is only our Local govt chairman then Hon. Durosinmi that did not support our initiative and he did not even wish us well in Agboyi Land because he tried to set us back to 19 century by attempting to erect Wooden bridge in Agboyi 1 and 2 link bridge before our youths rejected the project.
Kosofe Post: How do you rate agboyi ketu LCDA immediate past chairman performance?
Prince Muyideen Y.O: He failed the entire people of Agboyi- Ketu Lcda and he failed me as an indigene of that council. He can not pinpoint at any achievement than his first 100 days in his office that he tried to have just 29%. His years in office is a waste to the progressives Youths and Elders of Agboyi-ketu Lcda. You can sample other youth and elder opinion, am just talking as activist now, not politician.
Kosofe Post: How about the current appointed agboyi ketu Es, is he working like his kosofe counterpart ?
Prince Muyideen Y. O: Bird of the same feather. All these calibre of people can not provide the dividends of democracy. They are just after their pockets than the masses.
Brother, sincerely these people are not interesting in humanitary service.
Kosofe Post: Which political party do you belong?
Prince Muyideen Y. O: Am an APC member, I am the director of mobilisation APC Youth Frontier Lagos State. I sponsored House to house Campaign for all Apc Candidates and even paid for 5youths to canvassed during the election day in the just concluded General Election without meeting any leaders for assistance but collaborate with my Union Agboyi Students Union. APC is a party with ideaology but our local representatives are errors including the councillor representing our wards in Agboyi.Am doing this party because of ideology not because of this people. Asiwaju¬ bola Ahmed is my role model in politics and i fall in with his political sagacity that what gave me and some others focus in politics.
Kosofe Post: As agboyi students union general secretary and every political party needs students supports before and during elections, how were you able to manage pdp request for assistant as well without commit anti-party activities against your party?
Prince Muyideen Y. O: Pardon me!i am the President of Agboyi Students Union and the secretary Awori indigenous Forum Kosofe chapter back to you question during their visitations to Agboyi, we welcome them all, we even organised debates for them and awarded the participants .I meant we Awards all the Candidates in all party Apc, Pdp including UPN Candidate Hon. Tola Kazeem, who contested for House of Assembly Kosofe Contituency II.
Kosofe Post: Wonderful
Kosofe Post: Are you aware that Awori-indigenes from Agboyi storms tinubus residence in protest against marginalisation?
Prince Muyideen Y. O: Point of Correction Awori Indigenes in Kosofe Land comprises Kosofe Local Govt, Agboyi Ketu Lcda And Ikosi Isheri Lcda stormed Asiwaju as an indigenous Stock to complains their marginalisation in the Administration of their Land and also seek for his intervention on the matter. In Additional,I am using this medium to appeal to our local leaders to readdress the issue because it is unconstitution for a set of people to be marginalised in administration of their Land section 14 v 4 of the constitution of the Federal republic of Nigeria. Even our leaders and all the communities leaders did alot of work before APC won the election.
Kosofe Post: Do you believe in this quote”Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” ? Martin Luther King Jr.”?
Prince Muyideen Y. O: Yes oooo my brother, our fathers had been silents since but now enough is enough we must regain this freedom.
Kosofe Post: Why are you in active politics because awori indigenes are synonyms to land selling, Chieftaincy and women affairs?
Prince Muyideen Y. O: Hmmmm, i am an educated someone and Administrator by profession it can only be done and achieve if am involved in politics and mind you many Aworis plays active role then but these marginalisation frustrated them out of the game.
Kosofe Post: Apart from politics unionism. what are other things you are into?
Prince Muyideen Y. O: Estate Consultant and developer.
Kosofe Post: are you married?
Prince Muyideen Y.O: Yes am married with Queen Olaide M. Muyideen and the marriage is blessed with a son Prince Adegoriola Olajire Muyideen.
Kosofe Post: What’s your vision in future for Kosofe land and Lagos state at large?
