Comrade Opumulero who claimed to be a landlord around the newly constructed road in ifako gbagada, Kosofe sent his opinion to the kosofe Post over the recently commissioned road by Honourable Afolabi Sofola last night.
Opomulero full statement
I was born and bread in Ifako and I can tell you the in and out of ifako.
The road constructed was long over due. I want to acknowledge the little effort of the Chairman in this regard. That road has being in a condemned state for over 8 years.
However, my challenge in regards to this rehabilitated road is that both exit to the road is worse than the road it self. Right in front of four square church is a very bad portion of the road.
Exiting from the ifako police station axis is another poor state of the road. Right at the junction of Mary Magdalene nursery and primary school is another sorry state condition.
My take, as much as the Chairman has fall to the pressure of resident to do that road after so many letters during his first tenure, how do we then commemorate his effort with the exit and entry of the street.
I say with all sense of responsibility as a stakeholder in this kosofe project, either as a young boy or as the youth leader and even as a property owner in the locality, How much was used to rehabilitate the road:
Good governance and transparency and appreciation of the constructed road can only be valued if the government at the root can publish the cost implication of the road.
At least, it was done with our money and we have the right to know. Ironically, Hon. Sofola have being a master in secrecy when it comes to government spending.
Even the so called counselors have become puppet in his govt. who do not even know how much the road they celebrate cost.
