Nigeria’s main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has formed a new alliance with over 30 other parties called the Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP).
In Kosofe, PDP are made of 65% and 35% group or faction respectively, before the emergency delivery of CUPP
Prominent figure in the coalition from Kosofe Constituency ll, From Magodo, was the PDP Former State Secretary, Tunde Daramola, who later left PDP years back for APC until he joined Obasanjo CNM now ADC an integral part of the coalition.
Also, from Kosofe Constituency l, was Chief Olusegun Obasanjo , closed man, a relative of Oba Otudeko. Mr. Shehu Bankole Hameed( SBH).
He ran for Ogun East Senatorial District, in 2011 with Gov. Gbenga Daniel, With the campaign Slogan TIME, the ” Time Ijebu May Excel”. Later joined or aligned with APC alongside OBJ in 2014 before joining the new coalition.
He was one of the persons Kosofepost, reliably gathered as one of the contact and mobilization in Kosofe.
Also , Several member of the opposition, the PDP member’s were in the coalition before the MOU was signed and sealed. Kosofepost , can authoritatively say.
While several APC members in both Kosofe constituency l & ll, are also part of the formation of the initial movement known as third force as earlier reported by this online newspaper.
The who is who in the coalition are now known substantially at the National level. However, at the wards, LCDAs and Kosofe local government level their faces still remains like the mask man, the musical artist mystery face, lagbaja.
