Lawal Ojuolape is a resident of Anthony Village area of Kosofe Local Government. Who was arrested, detained , prosecuted and later killed by the firing squad
under Buhari/ Idiagbon Military Government in 1984 over his involvement in hard drugs trade.
The Drug Trafficking Decree Number 20 that was Promulgated in 1984 reportedly backdated and 1983 offenders namely; Bernard Ogedengbe, Batholomew Owoh and Lawal Ojuolape were giving one bullet each at Kirikiri Maximum Security Prison, Apapa, Lagos.
Ojuolape according to those familiar with the developments told Kosofe Post sometimes ago that he was allowed to visit his family and observed the last Jumat prayers before the hang man Stive life out of him, others.
About 3 and half decades now, the drug Baron cartels has not totally reduced in Nigeria but improvised their methodology of the hard drugs trade and transportation including some of those in the corridor of power and political circle. However, the current development in the country such as corruption, Rape, Killings, Kidnapping, Banditry and child abuse also called for the China treatment or Degree 84 to demonstrate government sincerity of purpose.
If the Decree was not backdated under Buhari/ Idiagbon led administration Drug Barons such as Bernard Ogedengbe, Batholomew Owoh and Lawal Ojuolape respectively wouldn’t have died as a result of Hot Bullets but subjected to life imprisonment that might later resorted to the state pardon.
What is good for the goose is also good for the gander such as corruption, Rape, Killings, Book Haram, Kidnappings, ritualists, Banditry and child abuse. Doing so will make Ojuolape’s and others to look back today and say my killing is justified.
