The jointly signed report by Prince Akintobi and comrade Muyideen Yusuf Ajigi Chairman, Secretary of Odo Ogun progressives Movement (OOPM) saddled with the social and communal responsibility to manage the resources of Odo Ogun Community. This committee derived its membership from all the Ruling Houses and non-Ruling houses in Odo-Ogun Community submitted to the Baale Of Ajewole, Chief Augustine, sons and daughters of Odo Ogun, on September 21, 2019 covered Kosofe Post.
The above mentioned committee is an indigenous group of Odo-Ogun Community saddled with the social and communal responsibility to manage the resources of Odo Ogun Community. This committee derived its membership from all the Ruling Houses and non-Ruling houses in Odo-Ogun Community.
Sequel to the elders and committee joint meeting held on 7th of September, 2019 at Odo Ogun where the leaders and the community at large, directed all the facilitators and initiators to submit all their agreements to this committee for proper scrutiny and also to give the feedback to the community within a week.
Based on the commitment to the community’s meaningful development, we had the privilege to make efforts to all the parties in getting their various agreements. After series of effort so far, as at today Sunday 21st September, 2019. it was only one agreement that was signed with Mr. Lin Anping known as “INVESTOR”. We hereby present our findings, observations and recommendations on the developmental project of Odo Ogun Community as follows:
We recommend as follows :
1). That the project should be adopted by the entire community.
2). That the director which will represent the community should be rotated among the 4 Ruling Houses recognized by the State Government.
3). That in the section of public facilities, amenities such as Cemetery, Health Centre, Palace should be included.
4). That these public facilities should be built on the measurement of land as follows:
i). Palace which should include the Iledi, Igbale, Ipebi, etc. on 2 acres.
ii). Mosque – 2plots
iii). Police Post – 1plot
iv). Church on one (1) plot
v). Public school – one (1) acre
vi). Event and Youth Centre – one (1) acre
vii). Health Centre – 2plots.
ix). 300 acres of reclaimed land should be set aside as the residence of Odo Ogun community for extension purposes which include the part of estate that shall be developed for residents of Odo Ogun Community as the Odo Ogun Community settlement.
5). That the 10% equity share should be increased after 5 years of this agreement to 20%.
6). And if the Investor insist on the earlier agreement, hence we should go on 60/40% of the total parcel of the acres of the land. After reclamation, no partnership or whatsoever.
