Heavy rains and Oyan dam water release have inundated large residents of Ikosi Isheri , Area of Kosofe. leaving millions of dollars’ worth of property damage in their wake. several cars were submerged in water for so long that their engines, cabins, and electrical systems incurred damage beyond repair.
People living in Isheri, olowoira, Magodo, Agiliti, Ajegunle and Owode onirin, Ketu , Agboyi and other areas in Kosofe are currently counting their loses.
The torrential rains reported caused alot of damages to resident of Segun Salau street ,off Anibaba , Ketu, under Ikosi Isheri Lcda.
A resident, Otunba Bertollusi Remzo who spoke to Kosofe Post early this morning appeal to Lagos state government for quick intervention.
Recently the Lagos State Government visited to Kosofe , Lagos and promised to dredge several canal in Kosofe to mitigate the effect of the flooding and equally warned citizens to stop dumping waste in the canal across the state.

The residents of the affected should note that ” If their area has been flooded, they ’ll need to pay special attention to their car. If it’s immersed in water more than halfway up its wheels, or if they see a line of mud and debris indicating that the water had reached that height, they ’ll need to take certain precautions. Most especially those along Ajegunle axis on Ikorodu highway.
The flood has equally sacked many residents from their living rooms indicating internal displaced persons camp might be inevitable in Kosofe if the flood continues.
