The banker , businessman, politician and ambassador of sustainable Developmental goals , Seun Abisoye Awosanya in an interview with Kosofe post recently disclosed the reasons he paid courtesy call to the Executive Chairman of Agboyi Ketu, Mayor Dele Osinowo, after long political difference.
Kosofe Post: learnt you paid couretsy visit recently to Executive Chairman of Agboyi Ketu, Mayor Dele Osinowo. Can you tell us what the visit is all about?
Abisoye: It’s about introducing sustainable development to the council. Being an Academia, we need government to bring in the desired changes
Kosofe Post: Over two 2years you and Mayor Dele are not on the same page. But we noticed and noted not quite long that you have being reacting positively to some of his policies, programme and projects. What informed your action?
Abisoye: Yeah, I believe in positivity and since he (Mayor) had exhibited life impacting programmes. Good heads are to come together for the good of humanity and community as a whole.
Kosofe Post: Among the 17 sustainable development goals. Can you mention two SDGs you will like to suggest to any local auhority in Nigeria to focus or improve upon?
Abisoye: Zero Hunger & Climate Action.
Kosofe Post: Given the poor allocation to Local governments while the state and Federal Government received the large chunk. Do you think the local authority can achieve Zero hunger without subvention or international donors collaboration?
Abisoye: Boss, independently, aside the allocation or so… an individual can have an outlet always stocked with food stuff to help the masses, a charity home aside the empowerment to make them be independent.
Abisoye: It’s a call to humanity and when in service, reducing hunger is a major target within Agboyi Ketu LCDA.
Kosofe Post: on some of his life impacting programmes at public functns in appreciation of his brief scorecards Pa. Steven Oyedele, Hon. Tunde Braimoh and Agboyi Ketu Community Development Committee and others endorsed him for second term. Do you align with these stakeholders endorsements?
Abisoye: In fairness, the young man is trying his bits as regards the LCDA’s development and masses welfare. I will vote for him again and again when flagged as the party’s candidate.
Kosofe Post: Can you mention few of his outstanding achievements you know?
Abisoye: His latest empowerment programs, renovation works of some public schools, purchase of transformers with intentions of buying more in a few months etc.
