A 35-year-old man, Hassan Bakare, on Monday appeared at an Ogudu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State for allegedly conducting himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace.

Bakare, who lives in Alapere, Lagos, is facing a one-count charge bordering on conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace.
Prosecuting Inspector Lucky Ihiehie told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on November 11 at Ovba Street, Alapere, Ketu.

He alleged that the defendant conducted himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace by collecting a mini bus registered as NSH 01 XJ from the complainant, Ransom Chimezie.
He also alleged that the defendant refused to return the vehicle to the complainant along with the money remitted from the use of the bus.
According to the prosecutor, the offence contravenes Section 168(d) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 (Revised).
Magistrate Mrs. Ejiro Kubeinje admitted the defendant to N50,000 bail with one surety in the like sum and adjourned the case till February 2.
She ordered that the surety must be emplyede.
