The Kosofe Local Government 6th Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, March 17, held it’s maiden public hearings on the proposed 12 byelaws at Mende Townhall, Maryland, Area of Kosofe.
The proposed byelaws comprises of: Environmental sanitation, food stuffs and regulated premises, revenue items and rates, radio and television permit, establishment of market regulation, merriment and entertainment permit, warehouse permit, street naming and numbering, carwash regulation, bills on liquor licensing, control on kiosk, workshop and private lockup shops, bill on liquor license; Prohibiiting sales and consumption in mind motorparks, schedule of revenue rates; tarrifs and other connected purposes respectively, geared towards strengthening the Executive Arm legal framework.

The bills when finally signed into law will enhance levies and rates compliance and enable the local Council delivered peoples oriented policy’s, programmes and projects.
Dignitaries at the event include: Kosofe local Chairman, Afolabi Sofola’s; Executive Cabinet Members, Leader of House; Olumide County; and Councilors, Council manager and senior staffs.
The public hearing also had in attendance political leaders, Kosofe Commmunity Development Committee Executives, Commmunity Development Associations representatives, traditional leaders, religious leaders, business owners, political leaders, women leaders and and other related stakeholders.
