Oseni Sylvia Odunlami Community Development Association (O.S.O CDA), Anthony Village, area of Kosofe Local, under the Chairmanship of Mr. Olalekan Odujirin have joined the Lagos State Government and Kosofe Local government in providing Stimulus package by financing and distributing over 300 Tubers of yams, today.
Residents of Oseni street, Sylvia crescent, Odunlami Street, Bush Street and other adjoining streets within the CDA jurisdiction were among the beneficiaries.
The Executive Chairman of O.S.O CDA, Odujirin alongside his Executive coordinated the hitch free distributions today.
Both the old and the young beneficiaries couldn’t hide their joy and happiness for the support from the OSO CDA, as they took turn to shower praises on the the Chairman and the Executive Member for remembering them in these trying times.
One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. A.A Ademosu, expressed her gratitude as she collected tubers of yams and other food parcel.
The octogerian “Prayed for the unity and progress of the community Development Association for reaching out to her.
Another beneficiary, Chief Bolaji Alaka, who could not control his emotions after collecting the foodstuffs, saying: “God will bless OSO CDA.
Hundreds of residents across the jurisdiction of the Community Development Association benefited from over 300 Yam tubers sponsored by OSO CDA.
Speaking to Kosofe Post over the gesture, The Executive Chairman of the Community Development Association, Mr. Olalekan Odujirin said:
“Coronavirus is a pandemic that is affecting the whole world now and the only way one could be free from it is to adhere to the rules guarding against the spread of the virus, of which one of it is to maintain social distance and avoid moving around which led to the lockdown of some states in Nigeria.”
“Staying at home without food can be killing and another big virus to, cushion the effects of the hunger the state, local government and some cooperate organizations and individuals have being going round sharing food items and some other relief materials for the people in the state to support what is being given, O.S.O CDA too is not left out in bringing relief to the vulnerable in her jurisdiction or coverage area, we are giving out tubers of yams to the age and widow in the community in particular and the youth.”
“We are encouraging our people to stay at home to fight the covid19
prevention is cheaper than cure,” Odujirin urged the residents.
