…700 Constituents benefited
The founder of the succour Education and Health Foundation, 2018 All Progressives Congress (APC) Aspirant for Kosofe Constituency ll, Hon. Samuel Olanrewaju Adebayo fondly called SOA
few weeks ago commenced the disbursement of a cash gift ranges from 2500 to 10,000 to over 700 persons.
SOA carried out the palliatives without posting it on his microblogging platform; facebook, media coverage or issuing a press release to that effect. However, following the information received from some of the beneficiaries he was contacted to know when he will be reaching out to the people in his little capacity officially.
The gesture was part of efforts to cushion the effect of the ravaging global COVID-19 pandemic on his people.
In his response SOA said:
“Kosofe Post, My dearest people! I did a lot of palliatives giving in few weeks ago which Waheed Odunuga. Adeola Abiodun and Delani were in charge of it all. Waheed coordinated Agboyi Ketu, Delani coordinated Shangisha & Olowora, Adeola Abiodun coordinated Ikosi. I decided to keep the media away from this because I see it as distress giving to help our people.”
Speaking further he said” Politics apart my brother. I did it out of my goodwill. I will not exploit Covid 19 killing innocent people to boost my political popularity. God knows the best. Thanks for checking on me, I did my part to help our people but decided not to publicize it,” Adebayo stated.
The gesture, he continued, was not political and therefore not limited to the political class alone.
He said, “700 targeted persons in my constituency starting from Isheri Olowoira, Ikosi Ketu, and Agboyi Ketu in Kosofe Constituency benefited from the disbursement”
“The recipients are mostly the elderly, women, non indigenes, religious leaders, youths and physically challenged persons in my constituency ”
SOA also urged his constituents to continue to obey the stay at home order, observe social distance and continue to stay safe in order to ensure the pandemic war is defeated.
