In total disagreement to the thoughts that the gentleman rejected nominee from Kosofe for the State Audit Board Commision, Hon. Abiodun Akhigbe will turn such disappointment to concentrate his time, pains and stress, calorie of energy and resources on his speculated House of Assembly ambition has attracted responses from stakeholders from Ikosi Isheri who said” No way for anybody, No third term ticket and emphasized it’s the turn of Ikosi Isheri to go, represent and speak based on implied agreement, if their comments and body language are well interpreted.
The concerned stakeholder, who led the agitation for Ikosi Isheri is Mr. Segun Aromokunola few days ago, said;

“I am not sure the rejection has got to do with any ambition. The govenor can re-present him to the assembly for confirmation. It is on record that the incumbent is also interested in third term. But the fact of this matter is that it is the turn of Ikosi Isheri LCDA to produce the occupier of the seat in the house of Assembly. By 2023 Agboyi Ketu LCDA would have had 16 years uninterrupted on the seat while Ikosi Isheri LCDA had only 8 years. Where is the fairness and equity in all these. Technically Ikosi Isheri LCDA is short changed in the current dispensation in Kosofe with all the positions in favour of Constituency 1. The Minister, the Senator, Kosofe Constituency 2 occupier is a resident of Constituency 1. While the Commissioner from Constituency 2 is from Agboyi Ketu LCDA. The only thing left for Ikosi Isheri LCDA is federal house of Representative which Constituency 1 had for over 16 years before now. I will advise our brother to channel his energy and resources elsewhere because the good people of Ikosi Isheri LCDA will NOT be willing to give the seat away.”
Aromokunola also punctured the claims in different quarters that if the current occupier, Hon. Tunde Braimoh is denied the third term ticket that Kosofe might not get the “Juicy” speakership position in 2023. In his response through Kosofe Post Microblogging Platform; Facebook said:
“It is doubtful if the position of speaker can come to Kosofe Constituency in 2023 bearing in mind that the first speaker in the this dispensation 1999 is from Kosofe , after which we have Epe Constituency 1 & 2 from 2003 to 2015 (All in Lagos East Senatorial District) before Agege came in 2015 till date. The calculation here is probable and not certain.
Another resident Empr Yemi Alle-Ijaodoro said” Hon. Akhigbe for Federal House of Representatives, 2023 the best is yet to come.”
Hon Ajayi “Why is it that the power keep on revolving around the same set of people in Kosofe as a whole?
No new breeds amongst the past councillors from the three local government areas, viz Kosofe, Agboyi-Ketu and Ikosi-Isheri.The councillors are not relevant to take a vital decision in the development of their respective local government due to power tussle. This is the high time for our apex leaders to ponder positively about the coming generations in KOSOFE. M
“I think something went wrong. let’s see as things unfold says Hon Ebenezer Ayomide Olatunji.
According to our observations, the scenario playing out in Kosofe Constituency ll 2023 ticket is not quite difference from that of the House of Representatives. it would be recalled that the duo of Hon. Dotun Animashaun and hon. (Otunba) Dayo Bush from Kosofe Constituency l, spent 16 years in the Federal House of representatives while Kosofe ll, spending second term of 8 years.
We won’t talk about the Minister because his emergence came from the Presidency, not an endorsement from the constituted authority in Kosofe or the State as gathered. But the question is would ikosi isheri, who is currently enjoying the slot of House Rep of ticket sacrifice it for House of Assembly Ticket in Agboyi Ketu? Would they swap the positions between Agboyi Ketu and Ikosi Isheri? Would they maintain the status quo or substitute their representatives to retain their slots?. These are the questions that demands multi answers to show fairness and equity among the gladiators directly or indirectly through their proxy.
Also, the people of Kosofe Constituency ll (Agboyi Ketu and Ikosi Isheri Lcdas) are tactically telling the people of Kosofe Constituency l they still have more 8 years to go with the Rep ticket. More importantly, Kosofe Local government have a sitting Senator and a minister but the minister is not likely return to Kosofe. However, opposition parties have the opportunity to zone their candidates to where they have their strength without regards to the zone arrangements of the APC.
