The way and manners the three Local Councils in Kosofe embarked on critical lives saving mission through the aggressive disinfectant exercise amid the pandemic one would have thought that Kosofe is totally free from Covid-19.
Earlier reports confirming the recorded cases in Kosofe that would have changed several doubting thomases mindset was vehemently denied. Perhaps to douse panic created at the time. However, as observed no community based organization and community development associations engaged by local Chief incident officers beyond the distribution of Covid-19 palliatives.
Also, various reports in the media and available statistics has shown that Kosofe (Ikosi Isheri and Agboyi Ketu ), Lagos State, Nigeria ranks number three (3) on the number of recorded cases. These development begs for more attention of the three incident officers and the health education officers across Kosofe.
Either as a result of natural cause or Covid-19, two giant politicians in Kosofe , Sen. Adebayo Osinowo and Hon. Tunde Braimoh has been reportedly died from coronavirus complications within 25 days.
There are many unknown people who also died under the same circumstances. Hence, there’s urgent need for the local and state task force managing the disease to do more.
There’s need for an improved grassroots publicity and awareness campaigns to keep Kosofe over 1 Million population well informed on the dreaded disease and reduce the condolences trend.
Heaven help those who help themselves beyond government everybody must join the campaign in their little capacity to kick covid-19 out of Kosofe.
Face, nose mask, handwashing, hand sanitizer, social distancing must be complied with to curtail the spread of covid19 in our respective communities and the appropriate sanction should be imposed on deviant residents.
