The 2019 House of Assembly Candidate for Kosofe Constituency 1, Hon. Olukayode Ajakaye is on his way to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kosofe.
A topflight source disclosed to this online newspaper that Ajakaye currently consulting Governor’s Advisory Council members and party leaders in Kosofe.
The source said after concluding his consultation with the high ranking federal lawmaker, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye and a member of the state Assembly, Hon. Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon he will formally decamp to APC.
Recall Kosofe the 2015, 2019 People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Kosofe Constituency 1, Moyo Ogunlewe’s decamped over a year ago.
The former youth leader of People’s Democratic Democratic Party Kosofe Chapter, Comrade Opomulero Olayiwola, who resigned his membership from the party, who vowed not to join APC gathered from a reliable source is also set to join another opposition party ahead of Kosofe Constituency 2 bye elections and Ikosi Isheri Lcda local government chairmanship.
Ajakaye is the second House of Assembly candidate on record that will decamp to APC after the 2019 general elections.
