Kosofe Constituency 1, yesterday at Mende Maryland hosted Eid il Kabir get together in honour of their past heroes.
Honourable Sanni Okanlawon aka OKla, a member of Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency 1; yesterday at the Eid il Kabir get together held at Arowojobe, Mende-Maryland, urged to his constituents to continue the legacy of their past leaders.
According to him, the purpose of the gathering is to improve their bond and lead the good shinning life of their departed leaders.
He promised his constituents to continue the fun-fair after every Eid il Kabir festival while thanking God for God for sparing them in this pandemic.While speaking on his seamless plans and developments in the house, he reiterated that, he facilitated the access road to oworonshoki, the Diya street and Ganiyu Daudu road to Island, ensuring the roads are motorable and traffic free.
He added that, there are other plans to improve the Ojota Alapere road that led to Ibadan express road while pointing a similar project that has been done on Williams street.He further promised good representation that will answer the hopes and aspirations of all and sundry in Kosofe Constituency 1.
Honourable Okanlawon paid his tribute to the late Hon. Obafemi Durosimi, Engr. Abdulfatai Oyesanya, Senator Bayo Osinowo, Hon. Tunde Braimoh and concluded his speech with a game where the participants are required to spell out words on the marble that the late Bayo Osinowo was fond of saying.
In the same vein, Honourable Busayo Adebayo pointed that, team work and unity should be their watch-word. He said, “many in the past have laboured so hard for what the present ones are enjoying”. He therefore, advised everyone to keep up the team spirit and hope for similar celebrations in years to come.
Similarly, the youth leader, Honourable Rafiu Bakare noted that, two of their youths have benefited from Honourable Okanlawon’s initiative on Agricultural programmes and other projects. He thanked Okanlawon for taking the youth on his tour and hopes for more opportunities in the future.
The vice chairman of Kosofe Local government, Honourable Awosola Omotuyi, congratulated everyone and urged them to toe the line of their heroes.
Also, The chairman of Kosofe Local government, Honourable Babatunde Adesegun, thanked Honourable Okanlawon for rescuing one of their members at the verge of losing his house. He also thanked him for facilitating the Diya street road project in Ifako and prays for his divine guidance.
Again, the woman leader of Kosofe Local government, Chief Mrs Victoria Olowoyo emphasised that unity is their ultimate goal. She, however prayed for God’s continuous guidance for Honourable Okanlawon to continue his immerse works.

Hon. Gbemisola Ketiku.
