Slum dweller : Triplets Mother cries out for help in Nigeria

Salami Oluranti Afusat, who gave birth to a triplet on September 21, 2020, has appealed to Nigerians for help for her babies upkeep.

She has gained the attention of some well-meaning Nigerians after she was spotted begging in the video clip.

Raising a child can be tedious, let alone having to take care of three babies at the same time. Such is the case of the woman identified as Oluranti.

“Fellow Nigerians, help me I gave birth to triplets, I never knew it was triplets until I undergo Cesarean section operation, we took a loan to pay for the CS,” She pleads.

The woman who had two children earlier said when she got pregnant her husband asked her to go and abort it, but she refused until the pregnancy reached 6 months during the COVID-19 pandemic before she knew it.

“I am not lazy, I sell commodities in public school please help me, my husband is a vulcanizer before the Covid-19 disrupted economic activities. Even this pregnancy I never knew it was triplets until I did a scan. My husband asked me to abort it and I said No,” The triplets mother said.

She leaves in a slum environment close to the canal, around Oshogun off Owolabi street, Under Agboyi Ketu Lcda, area of Kosofe, Lagos State, where floods and septic waste always submerged their apartment coupled with Mosquitoes and other dangerous animals challenge.

“The education of my children are my priority. Please empower me to start a business,” Oluranti Pleads.

When this online newspaper the Kosofe Post contacted her to confirm whether she has reached out to any political office holders for any assistant, she said several attempts made was unsuccessful. She pleads to well-meaning Nigerians for supports to take good care of the triplets.
