Lasg approves Castle Estate, warns against obstruction of Project in Lagos

The Honourable Commissioner for Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Arc. Kabir Ahmed Abdullahi, announced ground breaking of the Odo Ogun Castle Estate development in partnership with the Lagos State Government, on Tuesday, june 17, 2020 at Agboyi Ketu Lcda, Under Kosofe Local Government.

The Project when completed will provide residential houses for the villagers, good roads, hospitals, schools, shopping mall, potable water and other basic amenities as part of the projects tagged ‘Odo-Ogun Castle estate’.

The Baale Of Odo Ogun Community Chief Johnson Amodemaja speaking at the groundbreaking event said: “I can not say how happy i am today, over the state Government historical special visit ahead of the developmental project commencement. I give thanks to almighty God in making the project to see the light of the day.”

He also expressed his profound gratitude to notable tradition leaders, project facilitator and the legal consultant Barrister S.O.K chillings for their unwavering supports.

Chief Johnson seeks total corporation and support from all Odo Ogun sons and daughters ,professionals home and abroad for the execution and implementation of the project for the betterment of all.

In his response Baale of Ajewole, Chief Yaya Hassan said: ” We are happy over the new opportunity and development in odo Ogun. Today is a day of unspeakable joy for us in no small measure to the sons and daughters of Odo Ogun.

Yaya, Also expressed his appreciation to the lagos State Government through the Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development, led by Arc. Kabir Ahmed Abdullahi for the approval among others.

Aremo Of Odo Ogun, Chief Nurudeen Shonibare, “we are happy over the new development because our forefathers has been at the forefront of bringing this transformation before they died. God provided extraordinary people to make our dreams come true in our lifetime regardless of the initial challenges due to communication barriers.

Chief Imam of Odo Ogun Central Mosque, Alhaji Muyideen Balogun said: ” Praise be to God. prays for a successful project implementation, the investor, the lawyer, project facilitator, wellwishers and the entire Odo ogun community respectively.”

Odo Ogun youth representative, Ibrahim Lukman Adekunle in reaction said: “Odo-Ogun Community has broken a long time development record as one the ancient town in Ikeja Division and Kosofe LGA.”

“The Community at large specifically, the youth if the community embrace the laudable project as it was also given and adopted by the Lagos State Government as landmark achievement under administration of his Excellency Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu, The Executive Governor of Lagos, we sincerely appreciate the efforts of all the ministries particularly ministry of Waterfront and environment,” Ibrahim stated.

Prince Muyideen Yusuf Olatunji the Secretary of Odo-Ogun Indigenous Progressive Movement , also thanked the Lagos State government under the leadership of H.E Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for approved Odo-Ogun developmental project. He also emphasized that the Community should embraced the new development in Odo Ogun Community, Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.

Speaking to the Kosofe Post Barrister S.O.K Chillings said: “It’s crowning of alot of efforts that has been coming here. Today is like a launching, a kind of groundbreaking of a very large project that will be anchored by Odo Ogun Castle Estate Limited.”

The project is supposed to be a multi-million Naira project; an estate, a modern estate in a modern sphere that will provide accommodation for middle class people and shift attention from highbrow places to this end of our state according to the legal consultant.

“I believe that with the state government now breaking the ground; we are in partnership with the Government’s, we are in partnership with the Chinese investor’s in a very short time, we will start work and awaits development,” S.O.K Shillings stated.

Earlier Speaking the Honorable Commissioner, Arc. Kabiru gave summary explanation of the adopted project to the community stakeholders in line with the Lagos State government new town development in accordance with Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu T.H.E.M.E.S agenda geared towards making ‘Lagos Greater’.

Hospital, School, Power supply, Mall, Worship centres were among the facility that will be built in Odo Ogun Castle Estate according to Arc. Kabir Ahmed Abdullahi.

During the site visitation government representatives warned against obstruction of the project the Lagos State Government partner with the investor led by Mr. Lin Anping , Barrister S.O.K chillings, others.

Speaking at Odo Ogun Community, the permanent Secretary, Engr. Moruf Olawale also collaborates the Honourable Commissioner and seeks for more understanding and cooperation with the community for the proposed development and prayed for its successful completion in record time.

The dignitaries present at groundbreaking event include: Honourable Commissioner for Ministry of Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Hon(Arc.) Kabir Ahmed Abdullahi, Permanent Secretary, Engr. Moruf Olawale, Chinese investor; Mr. Lin Anping and S.O.K Chillings respectively.

Also present for the event are: Baale of Odo Ogun; Chief Imam of Odo Ogun Central Mosque, Alhaji Muyideen Balogun, Aremo Of Odo Ogun, Chief Nurudeen Shonibare, Baale of Ajewole, Chief Yaya Hassan , Traditional leaders, Youth representatives amongst others.
