Agboyi-Ketu LCDA under the Chairmanship of Mayor Dele Oshinowo received with sadness the death of the arrowhead of the Nigerian Army and ten military officers, whose lights were eternally dimmed in a plane crash that occurred in Kaduna on Friday, above all, the death of Brigadier Olatunji Olayinka, an indigene of Agboyi Kingdom.
Late Brigadier Olatunji Olayinka was a son of Late High Chief Lateef Olayinka Onikoro the then Onikoro of Agboyi and Former Commissioner of Chieftaincy and Boundary matter in Lagos State.
While in service, Late Olayinka displayed his full potentials as a brave and fearless officer, having worked diligently and offered his strategic inputs in helping the military to gain momentum in fighting insurgency and other security challenges facing the nation.
His death is quite painful, especially as it occurred while on national duty.
Further afield, I extend my heartfelt condolences to President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nigerian Armed Forces and the families of the deceased over this tragic development.
I urge the families to take heart and be comforted with the fact that they died while on a patriotic mission to secure our beloved nation.
It is my prayer that God will comfort all those who mourn the departed officers.
