Chairmanship Race: Carew Sidelined from G8 meeting in Kosofe.

One of the contestant for Kosofe Local Government seat, Lanre Carew has been sidelined from a group of Eight (8) aspirants meeting organized by a member of Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Kosofe Constituency 1, Honourable Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon.

The G8 Chairmanship contestants meeting were held with the exception of Lanre Carew for some reasons yet to be ascertained.
It’s also unclear if Governor’s Advisory Council members in Kosofe sanctioned the meeting.

However, Kosofe Post gathered that the gathering was in response to declaration that nullified last weekend adopted candidate in Kosofe.

Also, the G8 meeting was geared towards reviewing the development and to reach consensus among the eight contestants against Carew, who was earlier adopted by the GAC leaders.

Carew, Lagos State House of Assembly Aspirant for Kosofe Constituency 1, and Chief of Staff to the late Senator Representating Lagos East senatorial District Adebayo Osinowo, who stepdown for Okanlawon along other aspirants in 2019, fast raising political profile is to be said the crux of the strong opposition against his choice by the Lawmaker.

The keen political watchers are anxiously waiting to see the outcomes of the G8 meeting; if a serial contestants like Fatai Gbadebo or Musiliu Aigoro or Prince Babatunde Saliu will stepdown for other aspirants since Ashiwaju Bola Tinubu has declared he does not have a favorite candidate.
