Adegbidin eyes PDP Kosofe LGA seat

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) two term Ward Chairman for Ifako Gbagada, INEC Ward C’ cum herbal consultant, Alhaji Nasiru Adegbidin also known as Minahi Lahi is eyeing Kosofe LGA seat, the Kosofe Post learnt.


The PDP National Headquarters stated that in the case of Lagos, Oyo, Adamawa, Kebbi, Borno, Kogi, Osun and Kwara states, the tenure of the Excos by Section 47(1) of the PDP Constitution (as amended) would be expiring, having been elected in 2017.
According to the timetable, the sale of nomination forms, including ad-hoc delegates’ forms has been scheduled for July 26 to August 27, 2021 at the Party National Secretariat. while the last day for the submission of forms has been fixed for September 6, 2021.

Adegbidin is among the top contenders from Kosofe Constituency 1 ready to end the speculated fourth term agenda of the Stakeholders from Kosofe Constituency 2 who has been directing the party affairs in the last 12 years without corresponding results as expected.
Kosofe Post gathers as result of incessant violence attacks on the party in Kosofe Constituency 1 and poor general elections performance in Kosofe 2 over the last 2 decades told prompted the party to adopt Lcda arrangement in retaining the current LGA Chairman, Kunle Koya to attract members in the densely populated part of Kosofe.


However, PDP party members who spoke to our correspondents said reserving the LGA Chairman seat in Kosofe Constituency 2 in the 12years has not attracted more membership. However, exodus of members have left the party in their numbers. They added that Kosofe Constituency 1 that used to be PDP’s strength is no longer visible.
