Flood: 2 Years after FG’s Delegation visited Ajegunle, Kosofe no solution insight

Over two years since Federal Government delegation visited Ajegunle, area of Kosofe Local Government over flooding without proffering solutions.

Following the reoccurring flood that submerged buildings, human beings and sacked many residents of Ajegunle, Owode Onirin axis, the Federal Government, through the Ecological Fund Office team on the behest of late Senator representing Lagos East senatorial District, Adebayo Oshinowo visited the afftected Communities to investigate in 2019.

A visit to the community recently by this medium revealed no solution insight as the residents have constructed suspended wooden bridge to access homes gradually by submerged by flood coupled with overflows from Ogun River Basin effects.

Accordingly to Kosofe Post findings past administrations in the state attempt to relocate residents of the flood prone areas in Ikosi Isheri and Agboyi Ketu Lcdas under Kosofe waa rebuffed.

However, Federal and Lagos State Government must not be negligence on it’s duty of care to the citizens as they sworn to protect lives and properties by finding permanent solution, regenerate the Community among others.
