The Jegede royal family of Oworonshoki Kingdom has presented Prince Jamiu salau as candidate for the vacant Oloworo Stool.
Jamiu emerged as consensus candidate among other ruling house after stakeholders meeting over the weekend.
The Oloworo Stool became vacant following the death of Imperial Majesty, Oloworo of Oworo, Oba Bashru Oloruntoyin Saliu who reigned for over 21 years.
The next Royal family is expected to ascend the throne seamlessly, according to Obaship declarations.
However, Saliu Royal family who are still at loggerheads over who among the 49 children to be picked as successor of their father are pushing one of themselves to succeed the late monarch.
The crisis among Saliu’s Royal family degenerated to the point the faction loyal to Prince Nurudeen Olalekan Saliu held a separate final Burial ceremony for their late father about a week ago while those loyal to incumbent Kosofe Local Government Vice Chairman reportedly absconded and planned to hold befitting party for the late Monarch.
The two Royal families, The Saliu and Jegede who have presented their nominees for the vacant throne both claimed Oracle chose their candidates.
