Nigeria’s Foremost Tourist Scion and Arts Collector and the Director, Center For Research And Information Management (CRIMMD) Dr. Raphael James, alongside Hon. Wale Ojo Lanre (SSA), Senior Special Adviser on Tourism to Ekiti State Government with other invited dignitaries will be part of guest speakers confirmed for the first of its kind Sophie Exquisite members day/investiture & awards ceremony scheduled to hold, 12th December 2021 at Amen Event Centre, Abesan Estate Ipaja, Lagos.
The 35 Member Social Club Which is committed to promoting leadership values with Community Development Incentives as part of its objectives, succinct to attest is tailored in line to foster healthy rapport along with business networking among a clad of Distinguished Professionals’ cut out from different walks of life making up the August Social Forum.
In a close chat with the President of the prestigious club, Mr Steve Akadiri who took time out to shed more light on the journey so far and preparations for the forthcoming programme via a brief telephone interview with our media correspondence noted that Exquisite Club of Nigeria is leadership, social and Community Development Association.
According to him, “Our history dates back to two years ago, and we have been impactful across the country with a lot of humanitarian and people-oriented projects to mention a few. Barely five months or so, we had our Annual General Meeting here in Lagos and deliberated on areas of assistance as part of our efforts and drive for community social responsibility top on our priority list was that of women Empowerment seminar which was held sometime in July this year, and this furthermore culminated into the proposed membership day that is scheduled to come up by the 12th of December next month this year.
The theme of our investiture/award ceremony is a National discourse anchored on a three-in-one studded affair tagged ‘ Nigeria’ awakening the giant within (prospects and pitfalls). You will agree with me that our country is going through a lot, we have lost size, impact and influence Nigeria which used to be a nation called the giant of Africa is now a shadow of its former status within the community of African nations or continent at large.
These are salient issues we look forward to treating vis a vis other contending factors militating against the Nigerian state and of course we solicited the presence of eminent personalities from far and within the country, with likes of Dr Rapheal James, Hon Wale Ojo Lanre,Mr Ola Ogunlana, in addition to the roll call of notable speakers invited is a social critic in the person of Mr Lanre Oyenuga, popularly known as (Eruobodo) and lastly the moderator of the event who happens to be a renowned female ace broadcaster and former general manager with radio Nigeria, Mrs Nike Adefunke treasure all the outlined guest speakers will bring their expertise and notably share an ingenious wealth of experience by doing justice to the interactive theme session of the day.
In addition, ‘Sophie exquisite club plans to honour 12 eminent professionals’ who have excelled and carved knots in their chosen careers across the nation. Because we believe as a social club that when we have the privilege, we should showcase ourselves as a social platform that promotes ‘relevance’ by identifying with technocrats distinguished personalities, men and women of high caliber from the Creme De La Creme Nigerian society.
Mr Steve Akadiri also seized the medium as president to intimate the corporate society with public, to see the investiture/awards event as a curtain-raiser projected with the magnitude of building the strength of the club since its inception on standards that’s efficient and effectively encapsulated with the caliber of patrons, the club is bringing on board.
In his parting remarks, he reiterated total commitments as all hands are on deck to ensure the much-anticipated event won’t just live up to expectations but raise a conventional bar of distinction, excellence and glamorous first ever organized corporate awards ceremony set out to make a lasting impression in the annals of Lagos state corporate players watch and Nigeria at large.
