The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Barrister Moyosore Ogunlewe on Wednesday hosted Y2022 Budget Stakeholders consulting forum in Lagos
The interactive stakeholder’s meeting was organized to seek communities inputs ahead of the formulation of policies, programmes and projects of the government was held at Galaxy event Center, Kosofe Lagos.
The council chairman in an interview with a journalist at the event said the meeting was necessitated by the budget preparation to get everybody involved in the process of spending taxpayer’s money judiciously.
He noted further that the stakeholders have to give their quota back to the government and tell the government their needs.
In the forthcoming financial year, he said the people should be expecting more dividends of democracy from his Administration.
It would be recalled that Moyosore who embarked on construction of 10 roads across Kosofe, procured two ambulances, market women bus, legislative bus and 4 Revenue buses has implored residents to play their role by paying their tax and rates to boost implementation of people’s oriented programmes and projects.
The Head of budget, Council Treasurer, Council Manager, Medical Officer among others who made separate presentations buttressed the council boss highlighted different laudable projects within his short stay in office.
While sensitizing the gathering on the significance of the Internal Generated Revenues, they urged the residents to pay their levies as little as it maybe as result of unstable monthly Federal allocations.
All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman Kosofe Chapter, Alhaji Kehinde Bello enjoined all Residents to pay their taxes in good time to fast track more developmental projects.
Community Development Committee Chairman, Honourable Segun Babatunde who led representatives of different communities while presenting their needs ranging from education, security, road, pipe borne water, Health care, market highlighted the completed and Ongoing projects under Moyo Ogunlewe led Administration.
Kosofe Local Government Education Secretary, Honourable Tunde Soneye while urging parents to enrol their pupils in government public schools in Kosofe informed the audience that school facility has been upgraded and equally enjoined to pay courtesy to the schools. He expressed his deep appreciation to Council Chairman for his support.
The market women led by Alhaja BB Balogun appealed to the Local Government Chairman for market space at Mende, Anthony, Ojota and other communities affected.
In his remarks, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency 1, Honourable Sanni Okanlawon described Moyo Ogunlewe’s Administration as a good Governance that is visible and feelable.
He assured residents of sustainable open door policy under the young and dynamic Council boss.
Reacting to market women request, the lawmaker call on Committee set-up Chaired by Honourable Fatai Gbadebo during his 2nd Constituency stakeholders meeting to identified suitable marketplaces in the affected and turn in their report to see where his office could collaborate with the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government.
