Applauds Princess Samiat for sustaining continuity in Government.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Wednesday unveiled Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) ultra modern complex and the Ikosi international fruit market phase 1.
The popular and largest fruits market in Nigeria, Ketu, in Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development, LCDA, was demolished in 2019 by the previous administration for redevelopment project into the modern market.
While speaking at the occasion, the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-olu eulogized former Governor of the state and 2023 frontline Presidential Aspirant of All progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the creation of LCDAs amidst all the challenges encountered by the state.
He further noted that the doggedness of Tinubu’s vision gave credence to the democratic fruits we are witnessing at the grassroots level across the state.
“These are the real examples of initiatives of grassroots democracy and social economy growth”
Having completed ultra modern complex and phase one of the market project, Governor Sanwo-Olu described the project commissioned as a real example of developmental initiatives that will positively impact the lives of the residents’ among others.
He further commended and congratulated the management and leadership of Ikosi Isheri Lcda led by Princess Samiat Bada for upholding the philosophy of continuity of government by ensuring that no projects were abandoned since she came on board.
Earlier, while delivering her speech, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi isheri Lcda, Samiat Bada reel off the achievements of her administration in Education, Health, Works and infrastructure, Women and youths, security among others within 6 months in office.
While urging residents to continuously pay their dues, rates at the appropriate time, she also noted taken the Ikosi isheri lcda to the desired height is a collective responsibility.
