No fewer than 83 suspected cultists have been arraigned by men of the Lagos State Police Command on Monday.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Adekunle Ajisebutu, said the suspects were arrested at different locations in the state, adding that they were arraigned at Yaba and Ogba Magistrate’s courts.
He noted that the command’s clamp down on cult-related activities was ongoing in line with the directive of the state Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi.
Ajisebutu said, “In furtherance of the fight against cultism and related crimes in the state, 25 suspected cultists were arraigned at the Yaba Magistrate Court while 58 were arraigned at the Magistrate Court, Ogba, making a total of 83 suspected cultists arraigned today (Monday).
