Speaking at the Cheche Campaign office along Ogudu Road, Kosofe, the venue of the formal declaration, Owokoya disclosed that his declaration is in the interest of democracy, good governance, and quality representation for the constituents.

According to him, it was also intended to formally seek the people’s support for the realization of his aspiration as the credible voice of young Nigerians in Abuja’s green chamber who flaunted his expression of interest and nomination form, saying, “I stand before you today to declare my intention to run for the House of Representatives seat in the Kosofe Federal Constituency.

“The youth put all the money together to buy this form and to tell Kosofe that we are ready. We are ready to take over. We have everything it takes; we have the capability; we are enthusiastic, energetic, strong, powerful, and knowledgeable to be in the office.”

He acknowledged the great job the incumbent lawmaker has done. He, however, said that he’s the best candidate this time around while explaining his plans if given the opportunity.

“The incumbent has done a great job and he has tried his best, but I want to let him know that we have a better candidate that can do a better job this time around.”

He noted further that he has put workable plans in place that will facilitate employment opportunities for his constituents to take the youths off of the streets and train them in tech knowledge.

According to Cheche, he said he has an affiliation outside the country that he will bring that will guarantee 15,000 jobs for youths in Kosofe if he is elected. He called on Nigerians to give Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu all the needed support to emerging as the next president of the Federal of Nigeria.

He urged his constituents to get their PVCs on or before the June deadline to enable them to participate in the 2023 general elections.

“I am sending a clarion call to our party members, men and women, youths and the elderly, most especially the delegates, that there is a lot of work to be done to achieve the Kosofe Federal Constituency of our dreams.

“I urge you all to come out and vote for me during our party primary election so that I can be the APC flag bearer in the House of Representatives election slated for May 19, 2022.”
