Ikosi Isheri chair marks 365 days in office

Samiat Bada, Executive Chairman of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area, marked her 365 days in office with fanfare on Wednesday.

She also seized the event held at the council head-office in Ikosi, Lagos, to appreciate party members, residents, and supporters and highlight some of her project accomplishments in the last 12 months.

The event was tagged “Account of stewardship in commemoration of 365 days in the office of Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada”.

The Council chairman said the day “on July 27th, 2021, this administration was sworn in purposefully to serve the good people of Ikosi-isheri LCDA, and to the glory of God Almighty, we are all alive to complete the 365 days in office and still counting. With your fervent prayers, unflinching support and love, we promise that the remaining tenure will be far better.”

She listed some of her administration’s achievements to include completion of Babajide Sanwoolu Adminstrative Complex, Ikosi International Fruits Market Phase 1, Oluyombo Street (Ikosi ketu), Elegbeleye Street ( Ikosi ketu), Tunde Abimbola Street, (Magodo) ( Magodo), Ifelodun Street ( Ajegunle), Atinmo Street, (Ikosi ketu), Olabisi Balogun Street (Ikosi ketu), Atinmo Street, ( Ikosi ketu), Atinmo Street, ( Ikosi ketu), Atinmo Street,) (Ikosi ketu) and construction of Borehole;  at Harmony CDA, Atinmo Street,) (Ikosi), (Ikosi), (Ikosi), (Ikosi), Atinmo Street,) (Ikosi), (Ikosi), (Ikosi), (Ikosi), (Ikosi), (Ikosi
The purchase of an ambulance for Ikosi Isheri LCDA primary health centre; the purchase of an ‘Aluta Jet’ bus for NULGE (Ikosi Isheri); a 300KVA transformer for Ikosi Central CDA; a 500KVA transformer for God First CDA (Ajegunle); and the purchase of a new Legislators’ Bus.

Additionally, she provides weekly environmental sanitation; periodic desilting of drainages across the LCDA; sports development and monthly allowances for players and officials; skill training and distribution of vulcanizing equipment to apprentices; and the establishment of a one-day Executive Council Chairman and social welfare packages.

The Kosofe Post reports that Samiat presented hair salon, fashion design, and phone technician working tools to some lucky beneficiaries during the one-year event.

The All Progressives Congress Ikosi Isheri Lcda chairman, Alhaji Alli Olatunbo, commended Bada for the new beginning and implored all party members to continue to give their unflinching support to do more.

Mile 12 International Market and Balarabe Idris both called the chairman’s first year in office “excellent.” Balarabe added that in terms of drainage, infrastructure, good roads, and social welfare, her performance is outstanding.

While the All Progressive Congress candidate for 2023 for the Kosofe Federal constituency of Lagos, Mrs. Kafilat Ogbara, commended the management staff, Cabinet members, and councilors for their support and prayed for good health and a successful tenure of the council’s chairman.
