The Assistant Secretary of the APC, Lagos State Chapter, Hon. Adejumoke Animawun, has dissociated from All Progressive Congress members allegedly supporting the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate in the Kosofe constituency.

The Kosofe Post reported that some APC members loyal to her joined in welcoming SDP candidate, Hon. Lanre Carew, on Thursday, who recently returned to the county.

Speaking to our correspondent, Animaun said she was not aware and she would never support such a decision because she was a bonafide APC member.

According to her, I am an APC member to the core and I have never defected right from the start of my political career.

“I can never support such a decision because I am an APC member to the core and I have never defected right from my political career.”

While distancing herself from the group, she stated that she has delivered during elections to the Kosofe progressive course and will continue to do so.

Animawun stated that she would not be a part of anything that would tarnish her image, which she had been trying to protect since the beginning of her membership.

She noted that she had been an APC to the core and all my members could testify to it.

Animawun said as INEC had lifted an embargo on the campaign, APC had already set up for the campaign if not for the ongoing reshuffle that they needed to carry some people along in the list of the committee.

The APC stalwart said the party women would be embarking on their campaign very soon, but the youths would be embarking on a walking campaign this Saturday.

She said, “While the women will be commence doing their own rally on October 3, the APC women are fully ready for the campaign and I believe that no party will defect any of our party candidates.

“This is because we are on the ground and the party has performed tremendously well.

” Tinubu has track record to lead APC to victory in 2023. Who hasn’t heard of Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu’s recent track record? Senator Abiru’s various empowerment schemes that he had introduced to Lagos East senatorial district. The Kafilat Ogbara, and Babatunde Okanlawon, they are all doing well.

“So I don’t see any way we will not win the election, and we don’t have any fear concerning that.”

She stated that the public has been made aware of the importance of obtaining their PVCs before the 2023 election.
