The newly appointed Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, on Political Affairs, South-West, Prince Kehinde Oladega, has canvassed massive votes for the APC Presidential Candidate, Sen. Bola Tinubu, in the forthcoming 2023 election.

Oladega made this known during his thank you message to the speaker and the people of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA on his newly appointed seat held at the residence of Olu of Agboyi-Ketu in Lagos.

He said the people of Agboyi-Ketu and the entire South West region had the visa that would lead Asiwaju to the presidency and Sanwo-Olu to Alausa in the 2023 election.

“We the people of Agboyi-Ketu and the South-West have promised that we have the visa that will lead Tinubu to the presidency in 2023 and Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu to Alausa.

“I am advising the people of Agboyi-Ketu and the entire Southwest to come out and mobilize house to house, door to door with their megaphone to achieve APC success in Lagos State and Nigeria by extension.

“The speaker has a message, and the message is clear. He said at this election time, everybody should go to the grassroots and mobilize support for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to emerge as the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2023.

“He categorically said we must mobilize support for Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu and Dr. Babafemi Hamzat to be re-elected for their second terms,” he said.

Oladega said the speaker had given a matching order to also mobilize massive support for all the APC House of Assembly candidates, House of Representatives candidates and Senate candidates.

He noted that, as they knew that, by extension, the speaker’s position extended beyond Lagos.

According to him, I have to come home because charity begins at home. I want my people to join me in celebrating my new appointment and also to mobilise support for all the APC candidates.

Oladega said since his appointment he had been able to move across Lagos state. For now, as a prince in Lagos, because this was where I came out from.

The aide said he had been able to pay a courtesy call to GAC members in Kosofe Federal Constituency, Otunba Bushira Alebiosu, and Omooba Ademuyiwa Sosanya, and Pa. Steven Adeola Ayodele, APC Chieftain, Abiodun Aikhigbe, Arobike, commissioner for wealth Creation and employment and other prominent leaders.

He said: “Now because I am from here, this is where I am from; my unit, my ward, my primary school here, everything is here as a prince of this kingdom.

“I have to come home to meet my people to join me in appreciating what Mr. Speaker has done in lifting Agboyi beyond councilor level at the position we occupy currently.”

Commenting, Chief. Segun Ogunseye thanked the speaker for appointing the son of the soil in Agboyi-Ketu as one of his special advisers.

“I am happy about this appointment and I am glad that it is happening during my own time. I congratulate everyone and I pray that this one will not be the end of the other appointments for this LCDA.

“As we celebrate you today, I pray that each of us and our children be celebrated as well.”

“It is not so much how far as it is how well. It is not about age, and I meet the bigwigs in politics through him.

“While some will be there for over 32 years, we will not achieve anything from them,” he said.

Ogunseye said Mr. Kehinde Oladega was the right person God wanted to use for them to improve the lives of the people in the Agboyi-Ketu area.

According to him, two years ago, after the death of Hon. Tunde Buraimoh, he took a step to run for the seat of the state assembly, but God said it was not yet time. Now God has shown you to the world what you are capable of doing.

He noted that this was just the beginning of the greater and higher appointments in the Agboyi Ketu local government.

Ogunseye advised him to continue with his good work, so if they were given another opportunity to serve, then they could perform better than any other person.

His Royal Majesty, Oba Monsuru Abimbola Oladega, Akinmasa 1, the Olu of Agboyi, noted that this was a day of accolades for the people of the Agboyi community to honour one of their most outstanding sons, Prince Oladega Ibrahim Kehinde, over his new appointment.

The Olu of Agboyi, while congratulating Prince Ibrahim, thanked Rt. Hon. Femi Gbejabiamilla for appointing one of the Agboyi’s sons to such a historical portfolio, saying that the speaker had made the Awori proud.

The reception was held at the Palace of His Royal Majesty, Obá Monsuru Abimbola Oladega, Akinmasa 1, the Olu of Agboyi, with some traditional leaders, Lagos youths for Sanwo-Olu, politicians and other dignitaries from across the country in attendance.
