Obasa call ignores as Kosofe APC members set to contest on different platforms

The speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa call to return first term Lawmakers has been ignored as All Progressives Congress aggrieved members set to contest on different platforms.

The speaker made the call while addressing a gathering during one year’s stewardship account rendering by a lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 2, Mr. Femi Saheed, about a year ago in Kosofe, Lagos.

In his address, the speaker explained why a first-term lawmaker should be returned for another term.

However, All Progressives Congress members, who also double as the voice of the opposition in Kosofe, said Agege lawmaker cannot choose a total quality representative for residents of the two constituencies.

The developments after INEC announced the names of candidates running for the state constituency seat revealed APC members’ objections as they made the list of different political parties.

In Kosofe Constituency 1, former APC member Lanre Carew emerge as Social Democratic Party, Akinwande Osikominu as Labour Party candidates. While Moruf Adeleye served as SDP flagbearer for Kosofe Constituency 2, respectively.
