The body of the wife of the late Federal lawmaker, Hon. Dayo-Bush Alebiosu, Yetunde Alebiosu, has been laid to rest at the Ikoyi Vault and Gardens in the Ikoyi/Obalende Local Council Development Area of the state at about 1:30 p.m today.

Mrs. Alebiosu died on Tuesday at the Duchess International Hospital, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, where she was rushed after she slumped at a public function within the same area.

Kosofe Post reports that the 48-year-old Yeye Yetunde-Bush, as she was fondly called by colleagues, family, friends, associates, her husband’s political loyalists, and admirers, was born on Sept. 13, 1974.

Speaking with journalists, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, noted that Dayo-bush Alebiosu happened to be his brother apart from his political associate.

Agunsoye said they cannot query God even though her death was painful. But they had to take heart because they knew that in the word of God he said there is a time and a season for everything under the sun.

“There is a time to plant and a time to harvest, a time to be happy and a time for sober reflection. This is a sad time for every one of us. However, in all that, He said we should be thankful to Him. So I pray that God will console Dayo Bush and the family she left behind,” he said.

Agunsoye prayed that God should give each and every one of them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss, forgive the deceased and grant them eternal rest.

Another lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency I, Hon. Ganiyu Okanlawon, described her death as “shocking.”

Okanlawon said that she was an amiable, pleasant, and nice wife to the Otunba Bushira Alebiosu political dynasty.

The lawmaker who said her death was a big blow urged the family and his colleagues to take heart.

Also, the lawmaker representing Kosofe I, Mr. Femi Saheed, said the deceased was a well-cultured soul that put culture and patience into everything.

“What a sublime soul she was when she was on earth and a highly valued woman. A good mother to watch. And you know, we are going to miss her in so many ways,” she said.

Reacting, Dr. Ronke Akerele said she was one of her very close friends.

Akerele said, “Yeah, yeah.” I have known her for 27 years. I was one of her very close friends; I was on her bridal train on her wedding. It’s a shock.

“I saw her when she was dead, and I still think it’s a misunderstanding.” I’m trying to comprehend it. She was one of my greatest cheerleaders. We spoke until 11:00 p.m. before she died. It is a big loss to me and my family, and we just hope that this does not come in our midst: the sudden death of a loved one.”

Akerele prayed that the Almighty God would continue to watch over her husband and the two lovely children she left behind.

She said they both lived in the UK, and Yetunde flew in for the naming ceremony for her son, just for a few days.

Akerele said It shows what a kind of woman she was; she was happy for them in their early years, and they used to have fun together.

She said, “Even when she got married in the UK, she had so many attributes. She was an exemplary of patience, of wisdom, and she may also have fun.”

Also, Mr. Olufemi Akerele said her wife had said everything, saying that she was a very close family friend.

Akerele said her husband and him both grew up, saying that he left for the UK like 25 or 27 years ago.

He prayed that Almighty God would continue to strengthen and fortify the family because of a big loss.

In his reaction, Hon. Kuye Ademorin, member of the House of Representatives representing Shomolu Federal Constituency, described her death as a great shock.

Ademorin said, “This is a very great loss to me personally because she is like a sister to me. Great loss to the family and to the state. She has been an industrious daughter of the state. She has been a daughter to the family of Alebiosu, and she was our wife. She has really been like a daughter to us and like a sister to some of us. I don’t know how to describe this loss.

“However, it is the will of God. We have to accept it. We just pray for the repose of our souls, and we pray for the husband—for the grace and strength to be able to be here and bear this irreparable loss.”

The interment was attended by lawmakers representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, and Shomolu Federal Constituency, Hon. Ademorin Kuye.
a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Femi Saheed, Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon, and local government chairmen, as well as some of the lawmakers.

Others were the former Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Ademuyiwa Adedeji; Lagos State All Progressives Congress Assistant State Secretary, Jumoke Animaun; Youth Leader, Dr Muritalah Seriki; Bet9ja founder, Kunle Soname; and political leaders, among others.
