The hoodlums came to the various locations of rallies in Kosofe Constituency 2, comprising Agboyi Ketu and Ikosi Isheri Lcdas, respectively, with guns, sticks, and machetes and started attacking the crowd, leaving many injured and several campaign vehicles destroyed.

Reacting to the development, the party’s chieftain, Hon. Dele Aroyewun, condemned the attacks on supporters of his party across Kosofe in a series of comments to the Kosofe Post.

He accused the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress, and local government chairmen of being the brains behind the attacks.

He said, “Why this desperation on the part of APC, a party in government for the past 20+ years? Why attack others in opposition at their campaign rallies? What is happening now has never happened before in Kosofe politics. We never fought ourselves because we knew that politics could never separate us from our long-time relationships. The bastards are in authority in Kosofe local government; oh Lord, dethrone them.”

He noted especially that the Executive Chairperson of Ikosi Isheri LCD, Mrs. Samiat Bada,’s tenure will soon come to an end and says, “Tell Bada that because she will soon end her tenure.”

“There was a serious shootout today in Agboyi Road, Erukan, and the worst shame for APC happened in Ikosi Road,” Dele Aroyewun said.
