The leadership of the Lagos East Senatorial District Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has urged members to work for the victory of the party as the 2023 election draws closer.

The meeting held on Thursday at CMD Hall, Magodo, Kosofe, Lagos, attracted APC leaders, party flagbearers, local government chairmen, and members.

Present at the meeting were the Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Committee in Lagos, Senator Ganiyu Solomon, a member of the House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency, Hon. Rotimi Agunsoye, and the Lagos State Commissioner for Wealth and Creation, Yetunde Arobieke.

The Governor Advisory Council members included Senator Anthony Adefuye, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, Otunba Bushira Alebiosu, Omoba Sosanya, Alhaji Sakiru Seriki (Baba Bamu), local government chairmen, party candidates, and APC state executives, among others.

Speaking at the program, Arobieke said health and environment have been carefully woven around the six pillars of the T.H.E.M.E.S. development agenda of Governor Babajide Sanwoolu.

She said: “The acronym, T.H.E.M.E.S., represents the six pillars of the state’s strategic development agenda, namely: traffic management and transportation, health and the environment, education and technology, making Lagos a 21st Century economy, entertainment and tourism, as well as security and governance.”

While drumming up massive support for the re-election of the governor, she added that since the governor assumed office, he has sustained his predecessors’ clean Lagos initiative.

The takeaway from the well-attended meeting was that all stakeholders and party members were urged to work with their respective wards and local governments for the total victory of the party and its candidates across the board.
