Former Kosofe LG Chairman Commends INEC for Early Arrival of BVAS, Sensitive Materials in Most Communities

Barrister Ademuyiwa Adedeji, former chairman of Kosofe Local Government, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the early arrival of the Biometric Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) and sensitive materials in most communities of Kosofe.

Adedeji made this known in an interview with our reporter while trying to exercise his franchise at his polling unit 046, Alaba street, Oworonshoki. He expressed his satisfaction with the early arrival of INEC officials and the smooth conduct of the elections.

The former chairman noted the need to shun voter apathy and emphasized the importance of the gubernatorial and State Assembly elections to everyone. He urged all eligible voters to come out and exercise their franchise.

“I am appealing to everybody to come out and vote because this is the only way we can say we have installed the kind of government we want, because every society deserves the government they have,” he concluded.

Meanwhile, residents of Kosofe have also lauded the early arrival of the BVAS and sensitive materials in their various polling units. They expressed their satisfaction with the conduct of the elections and urged INEC to maintain the same level of professionalism in future elections.

The early arrival of the BVAS and sensitive materials in most communities of Kosofe has undoubtedly contributed to the peaceful conduct of the elections. INEC’s commitment to ensuring a free, fair, and credible election is highly commendable and should be emulated by other electoral bodies.
