The Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Mrs Abolanle Bada, has commended the electorate and APC chieftains in Ikosi-Isheri for their unrelenting support towards the successful gubernatorial and house of assembly elections held in Lagos on Saturday.

Bada expressed her gratitude to the Almighty Allah for making it possible for them to witness another successful election in the country. She also appreciated all the party leaders in Ikosi-Isheri, especially Afolabi Kazeem, for their unwavering support throughout her journey.

The Mayoress noted that the campaign was rough but was grateful to God that the election was fair. She thanked all the electorate in Ikosi-Isheri for their cooperation regardless of ethnicity, and appreciated the party chairman for his grassroots leadership style, which has shown a good relationship between them.

Bada also expressed her appreciation to the legislature, management team, and the media for their teeming support towards the election.

The former Ikosi-Isheri LCDA Executive Secretary, Hon. Afolabi Kazeem, who was fondly called ABK, also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for performing brilliantly well despite a few shortcomings.

According to ABK, most of the INEC officials arrived at the polling booths around 8:30 am to 9 am, and few others after 9 am. However, all of them were on standby by the time the voting started.

ABK said that the situation room idea was put in place to help them determine their voting patterns per polling booths and wards, which would help them make records and plan better for council policies.

He also expressed his satisfaction with the performance of his fellow party members, urging them to continue working for the party.

As of the time of reporting, APC was leading all major parties by 50 per cent, and the chieftains were confident that they would emerge victorious in Kosofe and all over Lagos.
