Remo Stars Head Coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has commended his players’ tactical discipline following their hard-fought 1-0 win against Nasarawa in Ikenne, Ogun State on Sunday.
Speaking with newsmen after the match, Ogunmodede expressed satisfaction with the win and the performance of his players. He stated that the most important thing for them was to get the three points and they were able to achieve that.
The coach also noted that his players faced a lot of pressure during the match and had to be disciplined tactically to secure the win. He added that he was not worried about the lone goal victory, as three points are three points regardless of the scoreline.
Samuel Anakwe of Remo Stars scored the winning goal after 43 minutes of play. Anakwe, who spoke with reporters after the match, expressed excitement at scoring the goal and promised to work harder to score more in their next game.
Remo Stars’ next match will be against El-kanemi of Warri on March 29. The team is currently focused on the next game and working hard to progress to the next level.
