Kosofe lawmaker-elect, Hon. Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon, paid a visit to Anthony Village, Kosofe Local Government, on Thursday to present his Certificate of Return to his core loyalists.
Accompanied by his supporters, including former supervisor for Budget and Statistics Mustapha and Kosofe Supervisor for Chieftaincy Affairs Olugbenga David, Sanni made the symbolic gesture of presenting his certificate to those who stood by him during the trial, struggle, and adversity of the just concluded election.
According to The Kosofe Post, Anthony Village was among the wards where the APC anti-candidate group worked against Sanni. Despite this, the lawmaker-elect was determined to identify and honor those who remained loyal to him.
During the visit, Sanni presented his Certificate of Return, which was issued to him by the Independent National Electoral Commission, to his loyal supporters, traditional rulers, and well-wishers who had gathered to celebrate his victory.
Speaking to the media, Sanni expressed his gratitude to his supporters and promised to work tirelessly to deliver on his campaign promises.
“I am grateful to all those who stood by me during the election, and I promise to work hard to ensure that I fulfill my campaign promises,” he said.
The presentation of the Certificate of Return to Sanni’s loyal supporters is a testament to his commitment to honoring those who supported him during the election, despite the challenges he faced.
