Politicians, NGOs, Traditional Leaders Extend Felicitations to Christians on Easter Celebrations

As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter, politicians, NGOs, traditional leaders, and other stakeholders in Kosofe and Nigeria as a whole have extended their felicitations to the Christian community.

The Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, Moyosore Ogunlewe, urged Christian brothers and sisters in Kosofe Local Government and the country at large to continue promoting peace and good neighborliness. He also advised the people to remain steadfast in prayer and continue to sacrifice for the good and advancement of the state and the country as a whole.

In his message, Member of Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanni Ganiyu Okanlawon, congratulated Christians on the successful completion of Lent and wished them a peaceful and joyous Easter celebration. He urged Christians to imbibe the true character of Jesus Christ and celebrate with modesty.

Princess Samiat Bada, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi Isheri LCDA, also urged Nigerians to foster unity and peaceful co-existence at the Easter period while connecting positively with their community and sacrificing for the progress of society.

The Olu of Agboyi Kingdom, HRM Oba Monsuru Abimbola Oladega Akinmasa 1, urged Christians to emulate the virtues of Jesus of Nazareth, reflecting on his selflessness, love, sacrifice, and tolerance throughout his earthly sojourn, death, and resurrection. He encouraged Christians to enhance their individual and collective efforts towards fostering love, peace, and harmony in their communities and the country at large.

Other prominent personalities, including the president of Succour for Health and Education Foundation, Hon Samuel Olarenwaju Adebayo, former Agboyi Ketu LCDA Chairmanship Aspirant, Olufemi Opabola, and Ikosi Isheri LCDA Chairmanship Aspirant, Hon Bidemi Akintunde, prayed and wished everyone a happy Easter celebration.

The Easter period provides an opportunity for unity of purpose, reinforcement of the brotherhood bond, and dedication in service to God and humanity, as exemplified by Jesus Christ. As Christians celebrate the Easter period, these stakeholders have urged them to reflect on the lessons and significance of the season and demonstrate the same in their lives.
