Hon. Sanni Ganiu Okanlawon, Lawmaker representing Kosofe constituency 1, has kept his word by donating a security patrol vehicle to the Oworonshoki community. The donation is in fulfillment of his promise made during the general elections.

The Oworonshoki joint Community Development Association (CDA) vehicle, which was allegedly sold without government consent, had caused a stir in the community. Hon. Adesegun Babatunde, the Kosofe CDC Chairman, was invited to the Police Command Zone 2 following a petition submitted by the affected community.

However, Hon. Sanni Ganiu intervened a few months ago, promising to donate a security patrol vehicle to the community after the elections. Finally, on Monday, the Lawmaker-elect fulfilled his pledge by handing over a branded Joint Oworonshoki CDA security patrol vehicle to Oloworo of Oworo, HRM Oba Babatunde Saliu Elebo Il, in his palace.

The monarch, while receiving the vehicle, commended Hon. Sanni Ganiu for his kind gesture and for fulfilling his promise to the community. He further stated that the new donated vehicle will be used for Joint Oworonshoki CDAs to safeguard lives and properties, rather than allowing an individual to convert it to personal use.

The donation of the security patrol vehicle by Hon. Sanni Ganiu is a clear indication of his commitment to the safety and well-being of his constituents. It is hoped that this gesture will further strengthen the bond between the lawmaker and the Oworonshoki community, and bring an end to the lingering matter before the Police Command and Independent Corrupt Practice Commission (ICPC) involving Hon. Adesegun.
