University of Lagos Mourns the Passing of Professor Ralph Akinfeleye’s Wife

The management team of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), under the leadership of Vice-Chancellor Professor Falasade Ogunsola, has extended their heartfelt condolences to Professor Ralph Akinfeleye on the passing of his beloved wife, Chief (Mrs.) Caroline Anke Akinfeleye.

The Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the entire university community, expressed deep sympathy and support to Professor Akinfeleye and his family during this difficult time. In a personal condolence letter dated May 16, Professor Falasade conveyed the university’s profound sadness and shared words of comfort.

“We take solace in the fact that she lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation despite the sudden event of her loss. It is certain that the family will miss her, but we must celebrate the fruitful life she lived and the indelible marks she left. Her fond memories will linger in the hearts of many,” the letter stated.

Acknowledging the pain and grief felt by the Akinfeleye family, the Vice-Chancellor offered prayers for solace and requested God’s infinite mercies to grant Chief (Mrs.) Caroline Anke Akinfeleye’s soul eternal rest in the bosom of the Lord. The letter concluded with a heartfelt message, “Once again, please accept my deepest condolences.”

The University of Lagos community stands united in grief, paying tribute to the late Chief (Mrs.) Caroline Anke Akinfeleye, who has left an enduring legacy. Professor Ralph Akinfeleye, a respected member of the university faculty, has received an outpouring of support from colleagues, students, and friends, who share in his loss.
