Prince Bidemi Akintunde-Stainless, a prominent advocate of equality, inclusiveness, development, and open-door policy, recently pledged his support to Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, a member of the House of Representatives representing Kosofe Federal Constituency. Speaking to Kosofe Post on Sunday, Prince Akintunde-Stainless encouraged Hon. Ogbara to stay focused and avoid distractions in order to effectively represent the people.
Highlighting the importance of maintaining focus, Prince Akintunde-Stainless stated, “She should try as much as possible to be focused, 100 percent. She needs to avoid any form of distractions that may come from various sources—be it in Lagos, Abuja, among family and friends, or political associates. Distractions will come from the left, right, and center. She just needs to do her best to steer clear of anything that might hinder her from accomplishing her primary goals and objectives of representing the people.”
Moreover, Prince Akintunde-Stainless urged Hon. Ogbara to uphold integrity and transparency in her parliamentary duties. He stressed that many individuals look up to her and emphasized the significance of leaving a positive legacy when her time in the National Assembly comes to an end.
“I want to see a situation where, when she completes the number of terms that God Almighty has destined for her in the National Assembly, she can be proud of her accomplishments,” Prince Akintunde-Stainless expressed.
He further advised Hon. Ogbara to engage regularly with the constituents she represents, stating that it is crucial to understand their needs and concerns in order to effectively voice their opinions in the National Assembly. Prince Akintunde-Stainless emphasized the importance of communication and recommended maintaining regular contact with local media outlets such as Kosofe Post, which holds a significant presence within the Kosofe community.
“Regular consultation and engagement with the people are of utmost importance. She should ensure that whatever she speaks on the floor of the house reflects the views of the people she represents,” Prince Akintunde-Stainless stated. “She should be seen as a mother to the Kosofe Federal Constituency, representing their interests and advocating for their needs.”
In addition, Prince Akintunde-Stainless urged Hon. Ogbara to speak up on issues that may negatively impact the lives of Nigerians, regardless of the individuals involved or their rank. He assured her that Kosofe residents and Nigerians as a whole would support her in her efforts to fight for their well-being.
Drawing a parallel, Prince Akintunde-Stainless mentioned the exemplary leadership of former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and encouraged Hon. Ogbara to join the progressive movement, emphasizing the importance of working towards a better and prosperous Nigeria.
