Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, the distinguished representative of Lagos East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Muslims in his constituency and across Nigeria on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival. In a goodwill message released on Tuesday in Lagos, the senator urged Muslims to draw inspiration from the exemplary faith and sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim.

In his message, Senator Abiru emphasized the significance of Prophet Ibrahim’s total submission to the will of Almighty Allah, which serves as a symbolic cornerstone of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration. He called upon all Muslims to embrace this spirit of devotion and apply it to their lives.

The senator’s statement read, “I celebrate with fellow Muslims and all Nigerians in Lagos East Senatorial District and Nigeria at large as we commemorate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration. It is crucial for us to live in harmony with our neighbors and avoid actions that further deepen our national divisions. This is a time for all Nigerians, irrespective of their ethnic, political, and religious backgrounds, to unite and work together for the development of our nation.”

Furthermore, Senator Abiru encouraged his constituents to join hands with President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, in his pursuit of fulfilling the renewed hope mandate. Acknowledging the short time since the president assumed office, the senator praised the bold reforms and far-reaching policy decisions implemented to rescue the nation from its economic challenges.

The senator acknowledged that such transformative measures may bring temporary discomfort but stressed that the transient pain pales in comparison to the immense gains and progress that Nigeria will experience in the near future.

As the Eid-el-Kabir celebration offers an opportunity for reflection and gratitude, Senator Abiru expressed his prayers for Nigeria’s well-being and implored the Almighty Allah to grant all the nation’s supplications.

Senator Abiru’s message resonates with the need for unity, peace, and progress, encouraging all Nigerians to set aside their differences and work collaboratively towards a brighter future for the country.
