Former Kosofe Local Government Chairman, Barrister Ademuyiwa Adedeji, has received commendation for his remarkable philanthropic efforts, twelve years after leaving office. Adedeji, known for his generous nature, has not only been providing monthly salaries to residents but has also been distributing takeaways during the Sallah celebration and the Yuletide season.

In response to Ademuyiwa Adedeji’s recent Sallah gift to the residents of Kosofe, Oloye Salami Oluwaseun expressed admiration and prayed for blessings and protection upon him for his selfless contributions to the community. Oluwaseun stated, “I’m not surprised by this gesture because Omo’ba Ademuyiwa Adedeji is a cheerful giver, and giving has been his way of life since his tenure as the council chairman in Kosofe. In the past twelve years, even after retiring from active politics, he has made it a priority to bring smiles to the faces of those around him and the community as a whole. He is acknowledged and adored with a unique name as an ‘Olowo to mo Monday.'”

Oloye Salami Oluwaseun further offered prayers for the continuous blessings and protection of Kosofe and the entire state.

Several other residents also commended Engr. Abiodun Owokoya Mayowa, also known as Abbey Cheche, a former aspirant for the House of Representatives under the All Progressives Congress (APC). Abbey Cheche, along with Prince Ademuyiwa Adedeji, donated cash, Rams, Rice, and other materials to numerous Muslim faithful during the recent Eid al-Adha or Feast of Sacrifice celebration, marking one of the biggest Muslim festivals worldwide.

The charitable acts of Ademuyiwa Adedeji and Abbey Cheche have not only shown their commitment to uplifting the community but have also demonstrated the spirit of giving, fostering unity and harmony among residents during festive occasions.
