Friends, family, political figures, and media stakeholders from across Lagos State united on Friday to commemorate the birthday of Kunle Adelabu, the esteemed Publisher/Reporter-in-Chief of The Impact Impact Newspaper.
The accomplished writer, now a year older, was lavishly celebrated for his exceptional contributions to journalism. The festivities included heartfelt messages, warm wishes, and glowing tributes. In a statement released on Friday by Ms. Soyomi Motunrayo, speaking on behalf of the Kosofe Post publisher, Bilesanmi Abayomi, Adelabu was hailed as an iconic journalist who has delivered news with intelligence, integrity, and compassion. The statement expressed, “Your dedication to ethical and truthful reporting has been a true wellspring of inspiration. May this year unveil exciting narratives and profound discoveries.”
The celebration kicked off with Adelabu’s own birthday post on Facebook, where he shared his gratitude and excitement. “Starting my day at the Mambilla Hotel, Lekki/Ajah corridor, Lagos, I’m in high spirits and feeling better than the past few weeks. This place has graciously hosted me, my mentor, Oloja of Lagos elect, Prince Abiola Kosoko, and other associates over the last three days. While shuttling between Lekki and Epe, we’ve been fully immersed in the ongoing Kayokayo festival and other projects,” Adelabu revealed. He continued by expressing heartfelt appreciation for his health, capabilities, abundance of grace, and, above all, the precious gift of life.
